General: Every Tuesday - Rendezvous on the deck of the Rusty Anchor at 5:30 PM. Watch your email for dinner and beverage specials. Every Thursday - at 5:00 PM, bring a dish to pass, something to grill, and a beverage of your choice to the home of Roger and Bonnie Bauer on 1350 Richmond Dr. Cheboygan. The Picnic committee is chaired by Paul and Nancy McElligatt (231) 627-5417.
Wear your lei and hula over to the Luau on August 7 at 8009 Beebe Rd. Party starts at 3:00 P.M. at the Darnell residence on the Cheboygan River. $12.00 per person. RSVP to Nan Dingens, 4016 West 23, Cheboygan, MI 49721. Look for the flier containing full details in your mail box.
Board Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM at upstairs level of the Rusty Anchor. If you plan to attend and need special accommodations, please contact a Board member in advance.
Special Boating Events
Lighted Boat Parade & Small Boat Races to be held in August during Reverifies.
The year starts with the Annual Meeting and Commodores Diner held in May of each year. Be sure to look for information about the Lilacs & Brunch event held at the Mackinaw Island Yacht Club in early June. Bring your boat and rendezvous with friends for the Lilac Festival weekend at the Mackinaw Island Harbor. Make plans to go to Margarittaville on the beautiful shores of Mullet Lake in August. Party to the sounds of the islands. September's party format is always a welcome surprise as it's anything goes with the creative minds on this committee. The sounds of the seasons and the smell of good food waft among good friends and good cheer at the annual Christmas party held in December. The hearty souls that brave the Cheboygan winters are treated to a winter fantasy in February that typically mixes adventuresome outdoor activities with diner and dancing. Wine and cheese anyone? Watch your calendar for the annual wine tasting party in April.
Throughout the months of June through September, plan to swap stories at the weekly rendezvous that are held every Tuesday at 5:00 PM at the Rusty Anchor.
In addition to the social activities, the club seeks to provide educational opportunities.
